WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.), as a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, recently directly secured over $21.2 million for Northern Alabama through the Senate passage of three Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 appropriations bills: the FY26 Labor, Health, and Human Services (LHHS) Appropriations Act, FY26 Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) Appropriations Act, and the FY26 Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development (THUD) Appropriations Act.
The bills, part of a larger package, will be sent back to the U.S. House of Representatives for a final vote before heading to President Trump’s desk to be signed into law.
