Visiting D.C.

My office is happy to assist you in arranging tours of the U.S. Capitol, the White House and select other Washington DC area sites. Senate offices are permitted to bring groups of up to 15 people on a tour and must follow Capitol Visitor Center guidelines. Schools and larger groups can now book tours of up to 50 people led by the Capitol Visitor Center directly by clicking here or by contacting our front office. If you choose to reserve a large group tour directly with the Capitol Visitor Center, please also contact our office at and let us know the details of your trip so that we can be aware of your visit. Our staff-led tours are available Monday through Friday from 10:00AM to 3:00PM and are planned on a first come, first served basis.

The White House is currently offering tours on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:00AM to 12:30PM. Please note White House tour requests can be placed up to three months in advance but must be placed a minimum of 21 days prior to the requested date. Due to high demand, White House tours cannot be guaranteed. If you wish to request a tour, you may fill out the tour request form below or contact our office at Tour decisions are made exclusively by the White House Visitors Office approximately 14 days prior to the tour date. The White House, not our office, will notify you of the status of your request at that time. Please note that per the White House Website: “The White House tour schedule is subject to change, with little notice, based on inclement weather or official use.”

Tickets for the Library of Congress are readily available and can be booked 30 days in advance. Tours are available Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00AM to 4:30 PM.
