U.S. Senator Katie Britt Attends Warren Stephens Swearing-In at White House
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) yesterday attended the swearing-in ceremony of Warren Stephens as the United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom in the Oval Office of the White House.

“I was honored to join President Trump in the Oval Office as my friend, Warren Stephens, was sworn in as our Ambassador to the United Kingdom. I met with the President after the ceremony and told him how excited Alabamians are for his visit to Tuscaloosa today,” said Senator Britt.
Although Ambassador Stephens is an Arkansas native, he graduated high school in 1975 from Trinity Presbyterian High School in Montgomery, Alabama. The Senator also met with Ambassador Stephens ahead of his confirmation. “Warren’s extensive business and dealmaking acumen makes him exceptionally qualified to strengthen our special relationship with Britain. Looking forward to supporting his confirmation and advancing President Trump’s vision for Peace through Strength,” Senator Britt said following their meeting.

Senator Britt visited with President Trump following the ceremony to express Alabamians’ excitement ahead of his commencement remarks today at The University of Alabama. In a previous statement, Senator Britt said, “It is a tremendous honor for the university and for this year’s graduating class to welcome a sitting President to campus—a first in the nearly 200-year history of the University of Alabama. As an alumna, I am especially proud to see my alma mater chosen for such a historic occasion.”
